A portfolio of free textures, 3d models, Jedi Knight levels, and other miscellaneous things.     Three Interest Essay By: Adam Sliger 9/23/2001 Throughout my life, there are many activities that I have enjoyed. I like to hang out with friends, and go places with them. Also, I love to surf the web, build webpages, and the like. But there are three specific things that I chose to tell you about. The three activities that I have enjoyed enormously are my trip to Cairo, Egypt, loud music, and drawing. To begin, I really enjoyed the trip to Cairo that I took over the spring break of 2001. One of the first things that I noticed when I got to Cairo were all the strange items they have for sale inside of the airport. There was a rainbow of colored refrigerators, dishwashers, and clothes dryers galore. After the initial shock was over, we got to see the Great Pyramids. They were gargantuan, and very awe-inspiring indeed. We got to go inside one of them, and ride a camel around outside. The last thing we did before we left for home was go to an open air market. It was very crowded, and there were many people crammed into little alleys selling odd, hand crafted items. It was really quite an interesting place. Overall, my experience with Cairo, Egypt was an extremely good one, and I really glad that I went. Another thing that I enjoy is music. Although I listen to mostly Christian music, I like many secular bands as well. The two styles of music that I do not like are country and classical. For another thing, I have my all-time favorite bands. Some of which are Among Thorns, Audio Adrenaline, Skillet, and Justin McRoberts. Lastly, is how I listen to music. I like to play it really loudly on my surround sound system, or on my MP3 player. Listening to music can really brighten my day. Lastly, I really like art, or more specifically, drawing. I like to draw realistically, and with large amounts of detail. My favorite project to do is a still-life. Next, comes the medium I use. I like to work with anything but paint, althought pencils and colored pencils are my favorite. As for my techinique, I generally start off by sketching the object fairly quickly. Then I go back and refine the lines as I shade. Drawing is one of my favorite ways to spend time. When I think about things that I enjoy, many activities come to mind, some of which are: My trip to Cairo, music, and drawing. I had a very entertaining time on my trip to Cairo, Egypt. It was an exciting vacation, and a unique experience. Secondly, I enjoy listening to loud music. Music can always make a bad day better. And last but not least, I like to draw. Pencils are my favorite way to create a work of art. When I am bored, I know that I can plan a trip, remember old ones, listen to music, or draw. The best part about these three interest is the fact that I can do at least one of them at any time, and anywhere.
